Abstract

Abstract: The formation of social attitudes is one of the main goals of basic education, which is closely aligned with character strengthening as well as the Pancasila Learner Profile. Many believe that contextual teaching and learning strategies (Contextual Teaching And Learning/CTL) can connect learning material with real-life experiences of each student, thereby fostering the development of social attitudes, such as cooperation, responsibility, tolerance, and social care. This study aims to describe the role of contextual teaching strategies in shaping the social attitudes of elementary school students. The research was conducted using a literature review method, by examining several relevant previous studies to understand the role of contextual learning in developing students' social attitudes. The results of the review indicate that the implementation of these learning strategies Contextual learning can enhance social skills as well as positive behaviors in students, especially when teachers integrate real-life experiences, problem-solving, and project-based learning. The implications of this research are very important for elementary school teachers in designing learning that not only focuses on cognitive aspects but also on the development of character and social attitude.
